Garden Tours

Let us take you through the Maniototo visiting private picturesque country gardens.

The tour visits some gardens that have been in the same family for up to 100 years. Also visiting young gardens that have been landscaped with the various rocks that can be found in the area.

Each tour takes up to 3 hours. Bookings are essential. Pickups are available from throughout the Maniototo by prior arrangement. Two tour options are available either individually or together.

Package 1 – Travelling through the hills to the old TB Sanitorium, and then on to the Hamiltons Cemetery where the view of the Maniototo Plain is spectacular. Over the hill to Patearoa and then out to Puketoi to Clachanburn, a garden of National Significance (a local gem). In total, four magnificently presented country gardens. [ Book now ]

Package 2 – Travelling through Naseby visiting Glenshee Park, the home of the Fashion Museum of the Miss New Zealand shows of the 1960s and 70s. We will again be visiting four quaint country gardens and also the historic Dansey's Pass Coach Inn where you can have a refreshment or a meal if you wish before returning. [ Book now ]

Our garden is situated alongside the Rail Trail between Ranfurly & Waipiata and is open between October and April.
