The Tool Shed - twin bed accommodation

Until local memories were jogged and word came through that it had once been the homestead's main tool shed, the building now fully restored and furnished as The Tool Shed twin bed accommodation was a mystery for Grant and Heather. And what a tool shed it must have been! The rimu tongue and groove wall lining is original. Grant added large windows to not only open up views across the Maniototo but to also bring in more light to further enhance the richness and natural glow of the wood-lined interior.

Outside The Tool Shed, Grant constructed a deck for guests to enjoy a glass or two of Central Otago pinot noir or pinot gris as they watch the Central Otago sunset bathe the Maniototo Plains in a red glow that possibly explains the Maori meaning, plains of blood.

The Tool Shed is currently set up as twin bed accommodation. Guest facilities include electric blankets, quality bed linen, feather duvet, day seating, heating, etc
